Program

Thonails Notifications is operated by BETBOY LLC (brand name Thonails, Thonails.com). Texts start with “Thonails:”. When you post an ad on Thonails.com and tick the box to receive texts, you agree to receive text messages about your ad: a notice when it is approved (or not), reminders before it expires with a link to renew it, and a text when a buyer writes to you about it through the site. When you post an ad, we also text you a one-time code to confirm your number. If you sign up for ad alerts ("Text me new ads like these"), you agree to receive at most one text a day listing new ads that match your saved search, only on days when there are new ads. If you write to an advertiser through the site, we text you when they reply. If you text our numbers, our team may reply to you.

How you sign up

Only on our website, with an optional box that is unticked until you tick it, next to the mobile number it applies to. The whole flow with pictures is on https://thonails.com/sms-opt-in.

  • Posting an ad (https://thonails.com/ads/post): “I agree to receive text messages from Thonails about this ad at this number (when it is approved or not, and reminders before it expires with a link to renew).” You then confirm the number with a one-time code.
  • Text alerts (“Text me new ads like these” on the board): “I agree to receive text messages from Thonails at this number with new ads for this search, at most 1 text a day.” You confirm the number with a one-time code.
  • Sign-in codes: a one-time code is sent only when you ask to sign in or to confirm your number.

Consent is not a condition of posting an ad or of any purchase.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies: usually no more than about 3 messages per ad, and at most 1 message per day for ad alerts. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

How to stop or get help

  • Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. We will confirm, and you will not receive more texts unless you sign up again or reply START.
  • Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed.
